The Power of a Praying Wife

A+

By: Stormie Omartian
Cost: Free

Where: This book was a library find for me which is surprising because the Northwest library is severely lacking in the Christian/Marriage/Devotional area. Plus, I usually hate the library since I get attached to a great book and then I have to take it back.

Who: This book is written by a women for women. It exclusively deals with prayers for a wife to say over her husband (or future husband) so it isn't for the single set.

Summary: Stormie dedicates one chapter to one of 30 areas of prayer that she advises wives to pray for their counterparts. Stormie lovingly details the struggles of even the most functional relationship and explains how God alone can hold a union together forever. Dedicated, sweet sample prayer conclude each section and guide women to pray for the heart of their husbands and for the power of God to move.

Why?: This book not only helps women learn HOW to pray for the men in their lives, but also provides a glimpse into the things men struggle most with. As a woman entering into marriage, I think having a head's up into the spiritual battles of my future mate will be helpful beyond measure.
